Box mods continue to grow in popularity due to the technological advances in hardware and software. Vaporesso is a company that takes pride in producing high-quality devices that are innovative, well-made, and designed with the vaper in mind. The Vaporesso Nebula 100W box mod is one such device. Read on to find out more about this vape mod.
Vaporesso Nebula 100W Testing and Performance
I am familiar with Vaporesso products as I have owned a few previous devices. The Vaporesso Target was my first one and I was very pleased with it. It has a maximum output of 75W but it worked very well and lasted me quite a while.
This Nebula is very similar in some ways to my old Target, but I like that it goes to 100W and reads down to .15 ohms. It has a lot of nice features and works in wattage or temperature control mode.
I have had this device for a little over a week and it has been performing really well. One thing that surprised me was the fact that it runs off a single 26650 or 18650 battery. I have very few mods that take a single battery so that is a big plus for me.
I am always waiting for batteries to charge because most all of my devices take two. It’s nice to be able to charge two batteries and use one and have one to change later without having to recharge. I vape a lot (seriously) so all of my battery stocks are charging at the same time.
Build Quality and Design
The design of this mod looks like something space-age. It’s got corners and angles that set it apart from your average “squared” box mods. It has a leather (I’m guessing) handgrip and shiny metallic body that fits nicely in the hand.
It comes in red w/black handgrip, black, and silver. This kit is only the mod, however, you can purchase a kit that comes with a tank as well. The black and red models have contrasting colors on the handgrips and buttons. It looks very stylish and modern.
The mod itself has a bit of weight to it and feels very well-made. The handgrip is also connected to the battery door which is magnetized like Vaporesso’s other mods. A few vapors had a problem with the battery door coming loose while holding the mod. I found that it comes off with a little pull but I suppose if you get used to playing with it while it’s in your hand it could lose grip with the magnets.
Durability
It is very durable and solid with a nice heavy feel to it. It is constructed of a zinc and aluminum alloy which feels very sturdy and strong. I have not had it fall yet, but I think if it did I wouldn’t see any damage to it.
Ease of Use
I feel that this mod was designed more for advanced vapers with all the custom features in the temperature control settings. This would not be something I would recommend for new vapers.
It is very easy to use for advanced vapers. I tend to use wattage mode more often than temperature control and in wattage mode, it works like a dream.
If you like to customize your settings for temperature control then you’ll love the TC “curve” settings. You can customize the temperature (in TC) or wattage (in wattage mode) to increase in levels as you press the fire button and take a draw.
Ergonomics
Despite the looks of this device, it is actually pretty comfortable to hold. It fits nicely in your hand and the grip is very natural.
Features and Functions
One of the best features of this device is the ability to set your wattage modes to how you like to vape. Using the “curve” feature in TC or wattage mode, you can customize your vaping experience to what suits you and with the 100W power output, you can use any type of atomizer whether it’s a tank or RDA above .15 ohms.
It is also equipped with a bunch of safety features like low-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, low-resistance protection, reverse polarity protection, and 10-second cutoff.
It also has a pass-through mode so you can vape while it’s charging. A nice little bonus for those of us who vape a lot and don’t always carry spare batteries.
It comes with a “battery sleeve” for using a 18650 battery if you don’t have a 26650 or don’t prefer to use one.
Wattage and Power
The maximum wattage output in “wattage mode” is 100W. If you’re using a 26650 battery it will stay at 100W. If you are using a 18650 battery your maximum will be 80W. I have been using this mod in wattage mode with a TFV8 Baby Beast tank with 0.4 ohm coil and it produces plenty of power to create big clouds of vapor in this setup.
Battery Life
Battery life is one thing that will vary based on individual preferences. It will depend on whether you are using a 18650 or 26650 battery, the resistance of your atomizer coils, and your wattage settings. If you’re maxing it out at 100W consistently with a low resistance coil then your battery will last a few hours.
On the other hand, if you use it at 60 – 80W with a little higher resistance, it will last longer. It all depends on how you use it. But using it at full power for long periods will drain the battery pretty quickly. You can carry a spare battery or use the pass-through mode to solve this dilemma.

Value
This mod alone is priced at $44.99 to $54.99 through various retailers. You can also get a kit with a tank in the range of $79.99. For the price, you get a lot of features with this device that make it well worth the cost for the technology being used. It is a good value for the money in my opinion.
I would spend the extra few bucks and get a tank with it. I bought just the mod but wished I had gotten a new tank to try out with it. The reason for that is sometimes different mods perform better with different tanks. I know how mine work, so next time I will get the tank as well.
Final Verdict
Although I don’t really use all the memory settings and the “curve” technology, I do like the mod. It performs great, works with all the tanks I have, and uses a single battery. I like this option because I can just pop in a fresh battery and keep on vaping until I get home to recharge.
I think most vapers will like this mod and it is pretty affordable in my opinion and can be found easily on best online vape stores. I have spent more money in the past on mods that didn’t have the updated technology this one has. I think either way it’s still a really good mod and would recommend it to advanced vapers looking for a dependable mod that is low-maintenance.
