Overview:
The Sense brand of vapor products is well-known. The Herakles, Herakles Plus, and Blazer tanks are all great tanks and now they have improved on this with the Herakles 3. The Herakles 3 has a new top-fill design with hinge for easier filling and increased bottom airflow control for bigger clouds and more flavor. We admit that we were not that impressed with the original Herakles, the design of the airflow control and juice ports made it hard to see when it was completely closed which resulted in a lot of leaking which we did not like.
After testing this tank for about 2 weeks we decided that we really like the top hinge design since we can almost fill it one-handed. The top can be a little hard to close and you have to make sure when closing it that you press down and turn to the left all the way to close. We did this on the first day and spilled a whole tank of juice because the lid wasn’t all the way closed. After that first time, we made sure it was firmly closed.
This is a well-made sub-ohm tank that is versatile and economical because it can use other coils. It comes in 4 colors: black, blue, rainbow and stainless steel. The glass tank section is Borosilicate Glass (Pyrex), which is a type of glass that is heat and shatter-resistant. It can handle the heat of higher wattages without cracking but may break if dropped.

Filling:
Filling this tank is a simple operation. Twist the top cap to the right and it flips up. The top is on a hinge which makes it really easy to fill since you don’t have to remove the cap or set it down. There are two kidney-shaped holes for juice and they are pretty wide so your bigger bottle tips should fit. The important thing to remember is to make sure to close the cap securely otherwise your tank could leak.
Tank Capacity:
The e-liquid capacity of this tank is 4.5 mils which is a lot of juice. This would last somebody all day if you were to fill it up in the morning to take to work. If you are a frequent vaper like I am, you may want to bring a small bottle for a refill for the ride home. I have not had any issues with leaking as long as the lid is securely closed.
Airflow:
The airflow control for this tank is at the bottom and you can run it fully open or close it down to halfway. The airflow is smooth with no gurgles or whistling. I like it about halfway open because it gives me more of a restrictive lung hit. Increased airflow means more vapor production. The more open it is the bigger the clouds.
Coil Heads:
This tank is compatible with the V-Jet coils to make it even more versatile. The tank comes with one coil pre-installed (.06) and a spare (.04) to get you started. Purchase a set of replacement coils from a variety of online retailers so you’re never caught short when a coil breaks. The V-Jet coil system is an improvement over the old Herakles. The coils wick better and the airflow increases the flavor and vapor production. It is also compatible with mesh coils.
‘Price: This tank is priced at $24.95
Bottom Line:
This tank is well-made and durable and an improvement on the design makes it even better than the original Herakles and Herakles Plus. Priced under $25 there is really no reason not to get one. It is affordable and a great tank to have on hand, or to pass onto a friend who may want to upgrade their set up.
